The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) selected Vertex as one of 20 awardees to provide contractor logistics support (CLS) for CMMARS necessary to meet platform requirements. This includes logistics functions and maintenance tasks required to keep U.S. Government and its FMS customers’ aircraft ready, available, and operating worldwide. Task Orders for such services are awarded pursuant to a fair opportunity notice. Each Task Order will address specific CLS requirements by type/model/series (T/M/S) aircraft covered, site/sites covered, level(s) of maintenance required, along with any aircrew and related services requirements. CMMARS may be used for platforms at all phases of the acquisition life cycle and may be funded with various types of Government appropriations or FMS funding. CMMARS provides CLS for aviation platforms operated under Military, Military/Commercial, and/or Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules and regulations including fixed-wing (airplanes), rotary-wing (helicopters), tiltrotor, unmanned aircraft vehicles (UAV), lighter than air vehicles (airships), and integrally related systems and weapon systems.

AFICC selected Vertex as one of 8 prime awardees on the ACES contract vehicle. Task Orders (TOs) of the MAC will support USAF contracted organizational-level maintenance on fixed and swing-wing aircraft. Airframes can include multiple Mission Design Series (MDS) in addition to any aviation platform (any MAJCOM), excluding rotary-wing, tiltrotor aircraft, and Remotely Piloted Aircraft. Awardees will have the opportunity to compete for ACES TOs over a potential 10-year period. As TOs are issued, funds will be allocated and performance locations will be determined. MAC requirements/aircraft maintenance services include:

  •  Organizational-Level Maintenance to include Scheduled/Unscheduled Maintenance, A/C Ground Handling, Launch/Recovery, Periodic/Phase Inspections

AFICC selected Vertex as one of 5 prime awardees on the U.S. Air Force Consolidated Rotary Wing Maintenance IDIQ contract vehicle. Task Orders of the MAC will support the Air Force Global Strike Command, Pacific Air Forces, Air Education and Training Command, and Air Force District of Washington requirements. This contract provides helicopter maintenance, aircrew flight equipment maintenance and weapons maintenance services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The program consolidates Air Force helicopter programs for the full-time availability of mission-capable aircraft, including UH-1N and HH-60 helicopters and V-22 tilt-rotor aircraft. The scope of the contract includes functional check flights, aircrew flight equipment and the maintenance of light caliber weapons and defensive systems. Locations for this contract include:

CFT, established in the 1950s, is a U.S. Air Force IDIQ contract vehicle open to all military branches. The USAF IDIQ contract is managed from Headquarters Air Force Sustainment Center (AFMC) Tinker Air Force Base and is designed to provide worldwide deployments of contractor support. The CFT Program Management Office is responsible for supporting the DoD and other federal agencies’ war readiness and posture planning needs by providing rapid deployments of skilled field technicians to resolve onsite challenges. CFTs provide all levels of maintenance, repair, modifications, and logistical services in support of aircraft and ground support. Since 1993, Vertex has been a Prime on three consecutive Basic CFT contracts. Our core business on this contract vehicle has been in U.S. Navy Fleet Replacement Squadrons, U.S. Army Rotary Wing Maintenance Operations, U.S. Army Ground Vehicle Maintenance Operations, and U.S. Army Southwest Asia OEF and OIF Phase Maintenance Operations.

The MASPO Project Management Office’s (PMO) purpose is to procure, field, sustain, train, and provide technical support for NSRWA such as: Mi-17, MD-530, MD-500, Bell 200/400 series, UH-1, AH-6i and other aircraft.
